Intrepid Crew Prunes as the Snow Flies

A late March snowstorm that would close schools the next day was no deterrent to our tree crews, who were sent on a pruning assignment to shape up the crown of a 32 year old maple tree.  Once they determined that the snow was merely wet and not creating a slipping hazard, work proceeded, starting with guidance from Board Certified Master Arborist Ben Tresselt. Working from both ground and aloft, using hand saw, pole saw and chain saw, the team was careful to make the tree’s structure more symmetrical as they slowly worked their way around it. A few dead branches were removed in the process.
Cleanup was thorough, and at the homeowner’s request, larger branches were cut up into neat piles of firewood and placed near the garage.
