Driver Safety Training

You might think working 60 feet in the air would be the most dangerous thing an arborist does, or perhaps working with a chainsaw running at full chain speed of 12,000 RPM. Statistically, though, the drive to the job is a bigger safety challenge than any other common activity.

In response to the number of miles AEI personnel drive to and fro across the county, we train in defensive driving to keep our skills sharp and the roads safe. Many companies ignore this completely.  However, we train drivers in how to inspect vehicles and trailers before they leave the lot or job, how to safely tow trailers and how to back into driveways.  All of these are a key part of our daily operations and we want to prevent accidents, not react to them.
